Service & Maintenance

Robust, preventative maintenance plans:

Having a pre-determined, regular servicing plan helps save money as well as ensure comfortable working conditions. It helps to identify any equipment which may be likely to malfunction. This means that your air conditioning or HVAC system does not operate inefficiently over an extended period of time.

What is included in my maintenance plan?

Each air conditioning service plan is tailor made to suit your organisations equipment and operational needs. However you can expect maintenance to include sensor calibration with inspection and testing of end devices, checks to be carried out on refrigerant type and weight, appropriate cleaning, filter changes and testing for leaks throughout the system.

We use our in-depth knowledge of the type of system you have in situ (whether or not we have installed it ourselves) to make sure the most effective plan is implemented.

This approach allows us to carry out specific checks or maintenance work that minimises the likelihood of your particular system suffering from inefficient performance in the future. It also means that developing faults are caught before they can damage other parts of the system or cause a total outage.

We carry out air conditioning servicing in all types of industrial and commercial premises, offices, public sector buildings, places of worship and educational institutions. We can provide maintenance contracts to FM and commercial property managers in addition to end-user clients.

This is possible because we are independent and have in-depth knowledge of air handling, ventilation, temperature control and heating manufacturers’ equipment.

All electrical and ductwork can be project managed as part of your installation. Alternatively, we can install equipment ready for your own choice of electrical contractors to supply power to. ABI supply and install all types of building climate control equipment including split systems (wall mounted, ceiling mounted, ceiling suspended, ducted etc.), VRF (indoor and outdoor) and air to air heat exchangers.

Replacing outdated equipment:

As final obligations relating to the maintenance and servicing of plant using R22 refrigerant come into force in January 2015, we are able to advise you on the most effective ways of minimising energy costs and future-proofing your air conditioning systems going forward.

Investing in plant:Between now and December 2015:

Increases in the Annual Investment Allowance have created the opportunity for businesses to save up to 50p in taxable profits for every £1 invested in new plant such as HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). The governments’ 2014 budget has enabled businesses to invest up to £500,000 as their annual investment allowance (AIA), until 31 December 2015. It will then return to the much lower rate of £25,000.

The AIA is a capital allowance which offers 100% tax relief on expenditure on plant and machinery. Providing your business entity falls under one of these categories: trading; office and employment; commercial property letting or leasing then investment on air conditioning or heating plant is likely to qualify. Any additional qualifying investment made above £500,000 attracts relief as laid out in the normal capital allowances regime.

Bespoke air handling requirements:

If you have highly specific air handling requirements we can design a system for you which delivers this in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Our experience in sensitive data centres and medical forensics facilities demonstrates our design and service delivery capabilities within environments where temperature and air quality is of the utmost importance. Our pages on data centres, private hospitals and operating theatres, for example, cover specialist air handling in these types of workspaces in more detail.
