About the Business

Air-Con systems that aren’t fully recharged will be less effective and have to work harder, putting more strain on the engine whilst using more fuel. If your Air-Con system has not been recharged in 2 years it will dramatically reduce efficiency – costing you money!

If you notice that your air con’s not as cold as it used to be, then you probably have a leak somewhere. It might only be a very small leak, but over time the gas in your air conditioning system is leaking away! That’s why, before we recharge any air con system, we will fully pressure test it for leaks, you wouldn’t keep pumping up a punctured tyre and neither would we!

All air conditioning regassing, testing and installation work is carried out to the highest of standards and we are fully F Gas Registered and CITB (Construction Skills) trained and certified.

Business Services

Classic Car Air Conditioning

Classic Car Air Conditioning

At AC/DC Air Conditioning, we offer an air conditioning repair and regassing service for classic cars where applicable. Cars produced prior to 1993 are equipped with an air conditioning refrigerant, known as “r12”. Used from the 1950’s through to the early nineties, r12 air conditioning refrigerant is no longer available, due to its damaging properties towards the ozone layer.
Vehicle Air Conditioning

Vehicle Air Conditioning

AC/DC Air Conditioning provides a fully mobile re-gas and recharge vehicle air conditioning service throughout Derby, Nottingham and the surrounding areas. Most vehicle air conditioning problems can be put right fairly easily by a leak check of your system followed by a complete refill of your air conditioning refrigerant (this is sometimes referred to as a regas).

Every time I’m called out to a car air con fault, the first thing I check is to see whether any gas is present. If it is empty I don’t just re gas, take your money and run. Instead, I carry out a pressure test using oxygen free nitrogen to establish if there are any leaks in the system.

Then I test compressor operation and electrics before any refrigerant is introduced. Only when I’m fully satisfied that all is ok will the system be re gassed for a single fee of just £49, all inclusive.

If we establish that there is a fault and you don’t want to proceed with repairs, a callout charge and testing fee of £20 will be charged. All work is carried out on a mobile basis, so I can call at your work or home at evenings or weekends in summer time or daylight hours to suit.
