From 1st of January 2013 all new types of vehicle must be fitted with R1234yf refrigerant. From 1st January 2017 all new vehicles must be fitted with R1234yf refrigerant. This is to comply with the new environmental regulation (the MAC directive) to helping reduce climate impact of air conditioning in cars.
