About the Business

Our managing Director, Mark Swanborough has over 30 years’ experience in the HVAC Controls industry. PPS HVAC and Control Specialists was incorporated in 2004 as a family business working from home. Over the past 8 years the Company has progressed and expanded to the point where we have our own premises.

By recognizing the needs of our Clients and keeping abreast of new developments within the BMS market, we identified the benefits of having a full HVAC team to complement our controls engineers therefore being able to offer a full HVAC package within one company.

We have a team of dedicated and experienced engineers working across many areas of England and Wales. All our engineers undertake regular training to keep them up to date with new products and to enhance their existing knowledge and skills. Our ongoing relationship with our many suppliers means that we can secure prompt delivery of parts at a competitive cost. We also carry a certain amount of bonded stock.

A constant drive towards energy saving initiatives and cost reducing schemes is at the forefront of all work carried out. We believe in delivering an excellent service to our clients, providing accurate and prompt information. All our engineers have access to a laptop and camera on site and therefore can relay reports, pictures and information back to our Office for prompt processing.

PPS HVAC and Control Specialists is a registered systems house for Trend, Siemens, Priva and an accredited Mitsubishi installer. We are registered with Gas Safe and have Refcom accreditation. The Company is also Safecontractor Approved.

Energy Inspections

Energy Inspections

At PPS we recognise that energy costs are an important part of our clients planning and have recently launched an additional service whereby not only will we carry out statutory building and air conditioning energy inspections and reports but also implement any energy saving works identified complete with pay back calculations and energy saving data where required.

Air Conditioning inspections:

Air Conditioning Inspections have been legal requirements since 4th January 2011 for any system with rated output of over 12KW. For all systems installed after 1st January 2008 the first inspection will become due from 1st January 2013.

It is also legal requirement from 6th April 2012 that the reports are lodged using appropriate template on the national register operated by Landmark. Inspections must be carried out by accredited Air Conditioning Inspector at least once every 5 years.

Air Conditioning Inspections are intended to identify ways in which the energy consumption of existing air conditioning systems and associated costs may be reduced. The inspection will examine the refrigeration and air movement equipment that are part of the air conditioning systems and associated controls. It will also examine any documentations relating to the system operation, its maintenance routines and F-Gas regulation compliance.

As part of our Air Conditioning Inspections we can also provide an updated F Gas register upon request.
