Royce Group

Royce Group was formed in 1983 by Edward Rooney and initally concentrated on serving the supermarket refrigeration market, mainly for Tescos and Sainsburys. In the early 1990's the company moved away from the supermarket sector and into the commercial refrigeration and air conditioning market.

At this time, the first VRF systems were starting to appear in this country. Eddie Rooney by then had a partner Director, David Conlon. The Directors decided that this new product offered huge opportunities to the fledgling commercial air conditioning industry and seized the opportunity to become one of the first companies in the area to attend installation courses on the new equipment. Once qualified in the new techniques, installation of VRF equipment rapidly become one of the mainstays of the Royce Group portfolio, where it remains to this day.

In 2008, Dave Conlon retired as a full time Director of the Company. His place was taken by Steve Waight, who is now Projects Director and is based in our Haverhill office. Since the early days the company has seen continued growth and now employs over 30 people on a permanent basis. We are at the forefront of our industry in both technical knowledge and outlook and will endeavour to keep it that way.
